Clumsy Jug is highly textured and vibrant. The rough, layered surface adds depth and energy, while the whimsical arrangement of shapes suggests both structure and spontaneity.
This series of work explores vessels and objects that hold as more than functional forms—they are symbols of containment, preservation and potential. By distilling familiar silhouettes into abstracted shapes, I invite viewers to consider not just what these vessels hold physically, but also what they might represent emotionally and spiritually.
Through this exploration, I see vessels as reflections of our own human experience. Like these forms, we too are containers that are shaped, marked and filled by the things we carry. My work asks viewers to consider: what do we hold, what do we release and what do we choose to fill ourselves with?
